Job Summary: The MEP Engineer / Project Manager provides management oversight for all phases of Residential and Commercial construction projects, including creating MEP plans, verifying DOB codes, coordinating construction schedule, subcontractors, ensuring that design specifications are being followed per approved CD sets, and work is proceeding with quality, on schedule and within budget. The MEP Engineer / Project Manager serves as a liaison between the Design Department and the Construction Division and problem solves issues on and off site to ensure project progress is executed. Responsibilities: Draft MEP Plans & Filing Sets Overseeing Special Inspections Meeting Construction Deadlines - On time completion of all phases of construction. Construction Ready & Onsite Accuracy - DOB Plans, Construction Documents, and Sub Contractors Estimates are accurate to the scope & nyc code. Red box items are ready ahead of construction start date (permits, covid forms, spec sheets, etc) Project Coordination - Ensure all subcontractors and vendors/fm materials are in line with schedule. Knowledge & Skill Set: MEP License is a Plus NYC DOB Code (Mechanical, Construction, Electrical, Plumbing, Permitting, ALT 2, Special Inspections) Construction Management (Quality Control, Vendor Relations, Job-Costing, Scheduling) DOB & Landmark Filing Strategies & Processes Ability to create schedules and budgets for construction projects is a PLUS Team management and supervision. Ability to provide takeoff quantities from drawings Ability to read, interpret and execute CD sets. Ability to calculate and order rough materials based on CD sets. Ability to problem solve issues that arise during construction. Strong communication skills.
