Job description Stackhouse Properties is hiring a Utility Worker in the Raleigh area. This is a 40+ hour/week position. This is a great opportunity to become part of a growing company. Duties/Responsibilities: • Uses appropriate equipment and tools to identify, assess, and repair problems. Equipment may include power rudders, high-velocity water jets, bucket machines, and plumbers snakes. • Flushes and empties septic tanks; performs other services required to maintain or repair tank and system. • Cleans sewers and related structures including manholes, culverts, and catch basins. • Measures sites to be excavated and marks areas for digging. • Uses air hammers, picks, and shovels to break asphalt and pavement as necessary to reach pipes. • Requests and/or orders necessary tools and equipment. • Cleans and disinfects areas affected by sewer or septic stoppage. • Company vehicle may be assigned to you. Must be with company at least 30 days and have proven skill-set. This will depend on the employee and their work ethic. • Thorough understanding of sewage and septic systems and repair. • Ability to safely and effectively operate all tools and equipment required for repair and maintenance. • Ability to follow directions. • Performs other related duties as assigned Utility Worker Experience Requirements: • Valid Driver’s License • Knowledge of the proper sequence of activities required to perform the job • Resourcefulness, Self-motivation, and honesty • Understand and follow oral and written instructions • Willingness to learn • Plumbing/Apprentice Plumbing • Industrial/Construction Maintenance • General Knowledge of a Construction site Job Type: Full-time Salary: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year Benefits: • 401(k) • Dental insurance • Flexible spending account • Health insurance • Paid time off • Vision insurance Experience: • Apprentice Plumbers & Helpers: 3 years (Required) • Industrial maintenance: 3 years (Preferred) • Commercial construction: 3 years (Preferred) License/Certification: • Driver's License (Required)
