The Hadler Companies are seeking a Property Maintenance Technician for our shopping centers in Columbus, Ohio. The Property Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the company’s physical commercial properties. Celebrating 75 years in business since 1947, we have been a force in managing, leasing, and developing commercial shopping centers in Columbus and throughout Ohio. Job Duties include, but are not limited to: -Day to Day maintenance and inspection of exterior grounds at multiple shopping centers and other commercial properties in the Columbus area. -Requires primarily outdoor work during all seasons, with some indoor work. -Duties include cleaning, emptying sidewalk waste receptacles, sweeping debris from pavement, light landscaping including seasonal watering of plant materials, traffic sign repair, low level indoor and outdoor lighting repair, basic pavement maintenance, occasional painting. -Perform assigned tasks from work orders and verbal requests, initiated by property management. -Frequent need to unlock storerooms and turn on interior lighting, as assigned by property management, construction and leasing managers. -Observe and report any issues of concern to property management. -Frequent interaction with tenants, contractors and utility technicians. -Basic electric and plumbing skills are helpful. -Will participate pin Company Safety Program, Paid Safety training. Qualifications: -Requires a valid Ohio driver license to operate company pickup trucks, and frequent travel between properties is required. -Dependable transportation. -Ability to work 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. weekdays, with Saturdays on a rotating schedule at overtime pay. Occasionally work some, but not all, holidays. -Use and care of hand tools and light duty power tools is required. -Able to safely lift 30 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 50 pounds. -Must become proficient to operate a tractor and skid steer to perform specific tasks. -Job safety is a high priority, with occasional use of ladders and ok with being up on roofs.
