EARLY BIRD CODE: POPUP2022 (Valid until August 31, 2022) The Filipino Festival in Malden presents Pop-up Sarap at Musika, a brunch event this October 8th at the Malden Senior Center, located at 7 Washington St Malden MA 02148. Jules’ Kitchen and Bits & Bites by Kristine will bring you a taste of the traditional Filipino brunch with an American twist. We will serve a plated four-course brunch menu for $55 including the following dishes: Champorado with Crispy Dilis (Chocolate Porridge with Crispy Anchovies) Ukoy with Two Kinds of Dipping Sauce (Crispy Deep Fried Vegetable Fritters Made with Sweet Potato, Carrots, Shrimp, Red Onion, Garlic and Scallions) Tortang Talong Corned Beef Hash Topped with Crispy Onions (Filipino Eggplant Omelette Stuffed with Corned Beef Hash; Served with Garlic Fried Rice and Sunny Side Egg) *Pescatarian: Tortang Talong with Fried Milkfish; served with Garlic Fried Rice and Sunny Side Egg *Vegetarian: Tortang Talong Hash Brown; served with Garlic Fried Rice and Sunny Side Egg Turon Bread Pudding with Ube Creme Anglaise; Served with Homemade Ube Ice Cream (Banana Jackfruit Bread Pudding with Purple Yam Crème Anglaise; served with Ube Ice Cream) Beverage Choice of: Coffee or Tea (Barako Coffee or Ginger Tea) * Hosted by Marylaine Viernes, this event is in commemoration of the Filipino American Heritage Month and a prelude to next year’s 4th Annual Filipino Festival in Malden. * With musical performances by Filipino students from Berklee College of Music.
