We'll walk along the "Little Saltie Trail," lead by wonderful guides from Audubon New York. First we'll congregate in the parking lot at Marina 5 in Mastic Beach, before walking through the Sheepen Creek peninsula, observing shorebirds and other species in our precious wetlands before their southern migration. Binoculars will be provided!
On our walk last year, we saw the rare Salt Marsh Sparrow! Don't miss it this year!
SPACE IS LIMITED: we only have room for 20 attendees. We are hoping to conduct more tours in Spring 2023, so if you miss this one, sign up for our mailing list , and we'll let you know when the birds are coming through again!
BRING: Bug spray! Tall socks! Waterproof boots or shoes to walk through puddles! Binoculars will be provided, but feel free to bring your own if you have them!
