From ambient sonic explorations, jazz influenced dialogues, to full on goose-pimple blues-rock, the quartet aims to mesmerize listeners in every moment. MCH as a guitarist wields an uncanny ability to bridge the worlds of jazz, contemporary pop, and original music into a tapestry of soulful and virtuosic music. His lines on the guitar draw a constant sense of unfolding and searching that go well beyond the idioms of jazz improvisation. As a sideman Matthew has worked extensively with Zigaboo Modeliste (The Meters), Narada Michael Walden (Jeff Beck, Mahavishnu Orchestra), Vusi Mahlasela, and Oakland art-rock band Moetar. He has appeared onstage with Carlos Santana, Mickey Hart, Taj Mahal, David Hidalgo, Sting, Bob Weir, Sammy Hagar, Ronnie Spector and many more.
