SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all the arrests for that time period: On Dec. 29 at 12:29 a.m., Secaucus Police observed an individual cross Rt. 3 East from the median towards the Shell gas station. Police stopped this individual at the Shell. During the investigation, the police arrested a 21 year old male, Jonathan Melton of New Iberia, LA for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(2)]. Mr. Melton was also found to have one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Alameda County Sheriff's Office in California with full extradition. Mr. Melton was further charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Melton was served his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. On Dec. 29 at 2:55 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a possible theft of a motor vehicle. A woman took a car that belonged to someone known to her without his permission, said police. Police arrested a 47-year-old female, Cicely Johnson-Jones of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $2,500.00 with a 10 % option, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $300.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of West Orange, NJ in the amount of $200.00. Ms. Johnson-Jones was also charged with Theft [2C:20-3A] and Unlawful Taking of Means of Conveyance [2C:20-10B], as police say she also took credit cards she stole from the same victim. Both the Jersey City Police Department and the West Orange Police Department did release Ms. Johnson-Jones on her own recognizance pending future court dates. Ms. Johnson-Jones was issued her complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Dec. 30 at 03:05 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the 700 block of Third Street on a report of an individual at a residence being in possession of a prohibited weapon. During the investigation, the police arrested a 46 year old male, Gerard Grossi of Secaucus, NJ for Certain Persons not to Possess Firearms [2C:39-7A], Unlawful Possession of a Rifle [2C:39-5C(1)] and Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)]. Mr. Grossi was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Dec. 30 at 3:22 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27 year old male, Angel Castro of New York, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of CDS believed to be Ecstasy [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Xanax [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession with intent to Distribute Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-3]. Ms. Castro was served his complaint summons along with four motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 1 at 1:59 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 30 year old male, Jamil Goodwin of Bloomfield, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Goodwin was issued his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with three additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult. On Jan. 1 at 2:25 a.m., Secaucus police observed a vehicle parked in the area of Paterson Plank Road and Maple Street where the operator of the motor vehicle was observed to be slumped over the steering wheel. A welfare check was conducted and during the investigation, the police arrested a 23 year old male, Elmer Cuxcujcuy of Fairview, NJ for Driving While Intoxicated [39:4-50]. Mr. Cuxcujcuy was served his motor vehicle summons for Driving While Intoxicated along with three additional motor vehicle summonses and was released into the custody of a responsible adult. On Jan. 1 at 9:27 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36 year old female, Tara Nofs of Passaic, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clifton, NJ in the amount of $225.00. Ms. Nofs was able to post bail for the involved warrant, was issued 4 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. On Jan. 1 at 3:57 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Hyatt Place located at 575 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a verbal dispute. During the investigation, the police arrested a 22 year old female, Miracle Cantos of Bayonne, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Ms. Cantos was able to post bail for the involved warrant and was released from police custody. On Jan. 1 at 10:17 p.m., Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 29 year old male, Moises Vazquez of West Orange, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Mr. Vazquez was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On Jan. 1 at 11:39 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 23 year old male, Rahkim Cosme of Brick, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. The police also arrested a 22 year old male, Frederick Parrish of Toms River, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Ocean County Sheriff's Office with no bail. Mr. Cosme was served his complaint summons along with 3 motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody. Officers from the Oceans County Sheriff's Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to take custody of Mr. Parrish for transport back to their agency. On Jan. 2 at 8:00 p.m., Secaucus Police Anti-Crime Unit observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking deck at 100 Plaza Drive. During the investigation, the police arrested a 34 year old male, Richard Rivera of North Bergen, NJ for Possession with intent to Distribute CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-5B(9)(A)], Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Failure to turn over CDS believed to be Methamphetamine to Law Enforcement [2C:35-10C] and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A]. The police also arrested a 32 year old female, Katherine Chavez-Montalvan of Allentown, PA for Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A], a 22 year old female, Allison Chavez-Montalvan of Weehawken, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A], a 31 year old female, Michelle Romanescu of Jamaica Estates, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A] and Hindering Apprehension [2C:29-3B(4)] and a 38 year old male, Al Jaime of New Milford, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Methamphetamine [2C:35-10A(1)] and Possession of a Hypodermic Needle [2C:36-6A]. Both Ms. Allison Chavez-Montalvan and Ms. Katherine Chavez-Montalvan were issued their complaint summonses and were released from police custody. Mr. Jaime, Mr. Rivera and Ms. Romanescu were served their complaint warrants and were subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail. On Jan. 3 at 6:09 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the area of Minnie Place and Centre Avenue. During the investigation, the police arrested an 18 year old male, Derek Garcia of North Bergen, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2].
