Mixers include grapefruit, pineapple, orange, and cranberry juices which you can enjoy while you learn a new artistic expression of floristry in 90 mins. The complimentary welcome Chanson Bakery Baskets with petite bread & viennoiseries are on the house. After the workshop, every participant will bring home a boutique of the finest french-style seasonal flowers with your design plus an elegant vase. (A pair of scissors is provided separately per person, flower materials and vase fees are all-inclusive.) The ticket is transferable but non-refundable. During the Class Meet the Flower Artist | Ye Zi Ye Zi has been studying Ikebana, the traditional Japanese flower arrangement, since 2017. She is a student of Paula Tam, the former president of Ikebana International New York Chapter (2013-2015). Her works have been exhibited at Fou Gallery and the 2019 Blue Cloud Gala at China Institute. In 2020, Ye Zi started her floral design studio, Twig means Zhi. And she co-founded an event and wedding design and styling company, The Ode New York in 2022. She has been making flowers for New York’s one of the most iconic French restaurants, La Grenouille since 2020, which has a long reputation for its finest French-style flower arrangements throughout the space. Ye Zi is fascinated by the emphasis on textures, layers, and details. She aims to embrace the romance and freedom of French-style flower arrangements and inputs her aesthetic conception into the works she creates.
