Join us for a concert performance by LOUQUE at Heights House Hotel! Rolling Stone says, "Louque (pronounced Luke) offers music with meat on its bones." Dustan Louque is a unique artist, weaving a broad tapestry of musical genres into his work. He has collaborated with Nels Cline (Wilco), Josh Werner (Lee Perry, Bill Laswell), Zack Alford (David Bowie), and countless others. LOUQUE is traveling to Raleigh to start the fall season off right by giving our community an amazing performance. Bring your blankets and chairs to set up camp on Heights House Hotel's lawn for a few hours to enjoy live music, drinks from the parlor, food trucks, and more! You won't want to miss this family friendly evening. This is a donation based event that will go towards the band's travel expenses. (We will be collecting donations at the door.) Suggested donation entry is $15 per adult, but please contribute what you see fit! WHERE: Heights House Hotel (Bring chairs and/or blankets!) WHEN: Thursday, October 6th from 5 PM-8 PM. Music will start at 5:30, so be sure to get there early! COST: Donations will be collected at the door and will go towards the band's travel expenses. The suggested donation entry is $15 per person, but please contribute what you see fit! ABOUT THE BAND: Dustan Louque grew up in Grande Pointe, Louisiana along the banks of the Mississippi River. After experiencing the corporate anonymity of a major record label, where despite success many artists can lose track of their individuality, Louque sought something more intimate in his professional journey. He calls his approach “barricade-free music.” He’ll tell you himself, he’s not interested in a traditional “industry” career. His shows are small, curated affairs, in living rooms, backyards, and even on the rooftops of his supporters. For the concert at Heights House he will be joined by his partner, Margaret Hebert.
