Description
Faces For Radio is holding auditions!
Chicago's premier women/womxn and non-binary a cappella group is looking for you!
We're in the process of rebuilding our group in the post-COVID era and are looking for new members to join our classy, sassy bunch that meets to rehearse every other week on weekday evenings.
We’re looking for singers comfortable reading music, holding an individual part among competing harmonies, and blending into a larger group sound. All voice parts are welcome – those with experience with (or interest in learning) vocal percussion are especially encouraged to apply.
We're trying something new this time - a VIRTUAL audition!
Please pick a verse and a chorus of a favorite song you feel demonstrates your strengths and record yourself singing (video preferred). Reach out by October 1st, and we will send you a link to upload your file privately.
Callbacks will be announced sometime around mid-October.
About Faces for Radio:
Faces for Radio has been performing throughout the Chicago area since 2005. We primarily sing our own genre-bending arrangements of pop and standards ranging from the 1930s to present day. We have historically performed at a variety of venues and private functions roughly 5-6 times a year (though this obviously took a pause due to COVID), most recently at the Green Mill, Stage 773, and Rock N Ravioli. Our target group size is 12 members.
More information about our group can be found at www.facebook.com/ffracappella.
