Description
I am looking for people who want to work on an 90's and 2000's alt rock cover band. Mainly alt, some grunge but I would like to focus more on not yelling or screaming.
Still want to do some harder songs, but not over the top.
I will be singing lead vocals and playing rhythm guitar.
I am experienced in this and have been performing in this function in live bands for several years.
Looking for bass, drums, lead guitar, and possibly keys. Bonus if you can sing harmony vocals.
Songs would be in the realm of :
Better than Ezra
Toad the Wet sprocket
Collective Soul
Pearl Jam
Incubus
Beck
Dishwalla
STP
Third Eye Blind
Toadies
Fuel
Foo fighters
REM
You get the idea.
The set list will be open to what we like and what we play well.
Not opposed to writing originals, but want to establish a good set to build the band.
We can see what happens from there.
The plan is to practice once a week.
At the moment, we will practice in my garage in Hillsboro.
If you have a better spot we can talk.
Also open to renting a space if not too expensive.
I am 37 and an adult with a full time job and family.
Be understanding of this but know that I am committed and will expect the same.
That being said, this is for fun and the plan is to start with open mics and small sets.
We will go from there.
If this sounds interesting to you hit me up.
