Home ownership, like other types of generational wealth, is often kept out of reach for marginalized communities through discriminatory industry practices and barriers to basic knowledge of the home buying process. At this happy hour, Stephanie will share tips for first time homebuyers, review different buying options (including some for non monogamous relationship styles), and debunk common misconceptions about the big bad world of real estate. Her goal is to equip members of the queer community with the tools and knowledge to begin their journey towards home ownership and advocate for themselves in one of the country’s most volatile housing markets.
