The YMCA of Metropolitan Detroit will celebrate 170 years of service as we honor our core values: caring, inclusion, honesty, responsibility and RESPECT with a tribute concert to Detroit’s Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin.
This special musical performance features Brenda Franklin-Corbett, Freda Payne, Aretha Franklin's original live band, and legendary jazz bassist Ralph Armstrong. This will be the first time the two songstresses have performed live together publicly.
A special photography exhibition from hall of fame journalist Linda Solomon will also be on display.
Opening reception and strolling dinner starts at 6:00 pm. Concert seating starts at 6:45 pm.
