Crying 4 Kafka is rebuilding in the (hopefully) post-COVID era. We're looking for a skilled, versatile drummer. The best way to hear our music is the Crying 4 Kafka Soundcloud. We've recently been recording music in LA (throughout COVID) and have been using Fredo Ortiz (The Beastie Boys drummer, and currently the drummer of Los Lobos) and James Cruce (a drummer who performed with J.J. Cale & Eric Clapton) for our recordings. Our music, you will discover, is quite diverse, and difficult to categorize. Unique is perhaps the best description. We've gigged up and down the West Coast from LA to Vancouver. Composed music with Robin Finck of Nine Inch Nails. Robin co-wrote the music for our musical "The Saint of Fucked Up Karma" (performed in both LA and Santa Barbara, including Center Stage Theater). We've also opened for Bad Religion and the Meat Puppets. Our producer is Paul DuGre. We're committed to regular rehearsals and monthly (or bi-monthly) gigs, and looking for a drummer who puts a priority on having fun. We're a no-drama band. Being COVID vaccinated and boosted is also important to us. Finally, the Crying 4 Kafka documentary film (The First 10 years) has won a number of awards from film festivals.
