Description
Yeah, it's all going to be expensive; but some facts for YOU to consider:
- There's only so much oil in the world. When it's gone, it's gone forever.
- Fossil fuels ARE a big factor in climate change AND overall air quality. If you don't believe me, start your car and suck on the exhaust pipe for ten minutes, and say "We need more of THAT".
- I thought I covered this with my reference to the Model T. Look at cellphones, TV's, airplanes, computers: Technologies improve ALL THE TIME; the higher the demand, the faster the improvements. One of Einstein's equations is the basis for lasers; do you think Einstein was thinking about bar codes? I can't make specific claims, but I'll bet they're researching multiple alternatives to lithium batteries.
- Converting to 100% electric vehicles would probably take 50 years or more. Demand for electric cars will continually increase over time.
But your idea is LET'S DO NOTHING; EVERYTHING'S GONNA' BE FINE. When there's no gas at ANY price, THEN we'll see about electric.
Bigly foolish, fool.
