BOOMERANG! has an immediate opening for a female lead vocalist. Our female front person has decided to leave the band, effective immediately, so we are now searching for her replacement. We are a working, six-piece cover band - we specialize in 80's New Wave, as well as 90's / 2000's Alt. Rock / Pop. The lead singing is split, virtually 50/50 (I'm the other singer & keyboardist), so ability to harmonize is equally as important. We do not play "traditional" classic rock, country, or blues - just as an FYI. Age range of the band is late 40's to late 50's - while you don't necessarily have to fit into that age range, a certain "maturity" is required. We want someone who is not only a strong singer, but can also "front" a band, and provide the majority of audience communication / engagement. Examples of songs on our current set list that you would be asked to sing are: Stupid Girl - Garbage Head Over Heels - Go-Go's Feel It, Still - Portugal the Man Voices Carry - 'Til Tuesday If you wind up joining the band, you would certainly have significant input as to what songs we add to the list, as long as they fit into the band's general musical direction.
