Description

*Please see the video i made of her! https://youtu.be/VvmGRn3u42Q I'm fostering this dog from Oakland shelter and I would like to advocate for her before she gets sent back and potentially euthanized. She's approx 8 years old (45 lbs) and she is so so sweet. She absolutely loves all humans she meets She doesn't chew on things when you're gone. She is potty trained and also knows a few commands like sit, shake (both paws), lay down. She takes food from your hand gently and has not displayed any food/resource aggression. She also does not seem to have any PTSD in her behavior, whoever had her before was loving and gentle with her. She completely ignores bikes and skateboarders during walks. So far the only issues are that she has nipped a dog that came up to her on the street without a leash, but today she met my friends pitbull and they got along fine. (as seen on video).. She does not pull on the leash except when she wants to meet another dog so badly and gets over excited. My guess is that she's just undersocialized. So she could use training with that aspect She has gone jogging with my friend and done fine, she's also fine being home all day with me. She absolutely loves car rides. She does have a little anxiety when people leave the house but she doesnt damage anything and she is left free in the house. I think her anxiety would calm down after she knows she is in her forever home. Right now she is not fixed but the Oakland shelter will do that for free when someone is interested in her. They will not adopt without doing this. After getting fixed she will calm down a bit with other dogs. She wants to be a good dog, she just needs a clear idea of what is expected of her. *note: I am in the bay area but I'm willing to drive her to her forever home if I know it will work out
