Hello, My name is Red, I am a spayed 2-year-old long hair miniature dachshund and this is my son Tip, he is an un-neutered 1-year-old what you would consider a wiener Jack (a miniature dachshund mixed with a Jack Russell). From the moment he was born he has been my shadow. He was actually my pick of my own litter. He is very special in many ways. Unfortunately, when he was just 6 weeks old he bumped into a table and a candle holder fell on his head, and he still has post-traumatic stress from it. He cannot be separated from me because he is very codependent on me. So the reason for this post today is because my mom is recently divorced and now the place we stay cannot accommodate me and my son's needs. We need a big fenced in yard, so i can chase him around and try to catch him, although i rarely can. We need lots of love and attention, some training, and plenty of chew toys.  We are both very spoiled, so it's understandable that we are inside dogs and although we are crate trained we love snuggling in the bed under the covers. I know my mom wishes she can give us these things, and although I know we are the light of her life, she loves us enough to give us a better home. We must go together to our new furever home. We get along with kids, cats, and friendly dogs, but my son can be timid and can get himself in trouble with dogs who aren't patient.  We cannot wait to find a new family that will love us just as much as our mom. This is one of the hardest things that she could possibly do, and I know that this will hurt her, But I also know she is doing what is best for us. With lots of love and prayers for the right family, Red
