Progressive Djent/Death project - Seeking Vocalist

Meets

Colorado Springs CO

Description

In the early stages of getting this project off the ground and would like to bring in a vocalist during the writing process to help with musical input and structure for having vocals. The project is currently a guitarist and bassist/synth. We practice Thursday nights for ideas and longer morning sessions on Sundays at 10am in Falcon. We have the ability to record and produce in two separate studio spaces in Falcon and North COS. Please search SoundCloud for Awaiting Oblivion for samples and I'm happy to send our BandMix profiles to you also. The project: We are both serious about waiting and creating music we want to listen to and push our abilities while still being listenable and not a bunch of riff salad guitar stuff. Each member has equal input into the songs and we do not have egos about writing so neither should you. We are in our mid 30's to early 40s with gear, reliable jobs (Monday-Friday), time, and focus. No substance abuse issues, kids, or inability to practice or write. We are looking for somebody willing to put in the time and patience needed with a new and evolving project. The ideal vocalist will have a range not focused on just death metal growls and is willing to push themself with their melodies and range. Clean vocals along with mid-range and lower growling would be the best fit. We are not looking to fill this position fast, we are looking for the right fit. Please have recent samples (within the past 2 years) or be able to record some so we can see what you can do. These can be phone audio/video not a full mixed production (we just need an example of your style and ability) - All responses without samples will not be responded to. Sorry but Craigslist is already a tough place to find serious musicians so weeding through emails and people without samples is not an option. If you are dedicated to creating music and have the ability to work on a project like this please reach out. If you are not able to commit to 2 nights a week and have the patience to see a starting project through, this is not the right fit. The goal is to make creative and high-quality music and cut an EP. Eventually, we will bring in a capable drummer, and decide the move from there. We have discussed video content, thought-out shows (not a Tuesday night to 8 people in the other bands) and possible small touring. All rights, song licensing, and legal names, domains, socials have already been obtained under the project name. Project Samples (these are unproduced “proof of concept” tracks): SoundCloud.com/awaiting-oblivion YouTube Playthrough: https://youtube.com/channel/UCLKIozm4VCcuuIzhdQMRp0Q After we check out your samples, if it is a good fit musically we will meet up outside of the practice spaces to see if we all mesh well together before we move forward since being able to spend hours in a room together is pretty important. If this sounds like your kind of project we are interested in hearing from you.
