We are an emergent full-circle fiber & dye community, stewarded by Ivy Stovall of Rewild Portland's Weaver's Wheel, Moni Sears of Wildland Roots, Shannon Welsh of Fibrevolution, Tim Wessels & Mel Berry from Green Anchors.
The magical garden & village is nestled in an eco-maker space under the St. John's Bridge where we practice time-based art & land practices tied to seasonal rituals and celebrations. We sow & spin, process & dye, laugh & learn -- and we want to share with you!
As part of Portland TextileX Month, and this year's theme of regeneration, join us this fall season in deep listening & connection to the seasonal cycles of the land, as we traverse these uncertain times.
We’ll start at 1 PM harvesting leaves (and flowers we dried in spring) and do some bundle dyeing. We’ll make natural fiber banners to be planted & hung throughout the village as celebratory ‘prayer’ flags for our All Souls Procession on Friday, Nov. 4th.
As the banners steep & we wait for their magic to imprint, we’ll tour the dye & fiber gardens. Collect seeds from the dye flowers (to take home), process flax, learn about silkworms, and spin some wool. We’ll demo a simple cordage technique using nettle and flax.

Please park in the Cathedral Park Boat Launch parking lot. Walk along the RR tracks to the Green Anchors gate. We are an accessible event but there is uneven terrain. Please let us know if you need special accommodation to park closer.
