Come together with Lighthouse Foundation for an afternoon of spiritual renewal to support the Black Queer Equity Index (BQEI)!
Gather with friends old and new at Meeting House Tavern for live gospel music from Voices of Light, rap performances by Jahari the Hippie, tacos from Taylor Taco’s food truck, and show-stopping lip-sync performances by Iyanna Frantz.
You'll hear from Lighthouse Founder and Executive Director Jamie Frazier about the power of the BQEI to improve the experiences of Black Queer employees and board members in Chicago's social service sector, and in turn, improve care for their clients.
This event celebrates renewal and aims to spark a spiritual awakening. Life has been tough and the world challenging, so come get a drink and hear soul-stirring music. If you’re spiritual but not religious, this is a great event for you to experience some of the joy of church without any of the shame.
All funds raised go to support the Black Queer Equity Index. Cosponsored by the Minga Foundation.
Your ticket price only includes admission: food and drinks will be available for an extra charge.
If you are able, we encourage you to purchase a ticket for those unable to afford one themselves. At Lighthouse Foundation, we want all of our events — including fundraisers — to be accessible for all Black Queer folks. A limited number of free tickets are available for Black LGBTQ+ folks to attend this event – contact us at [email protected] to reserve yours.
