Meet Roman, he's 8 months, long haired male syrian-hamster. Roman was previously from a kid home who said they had no time for him, and that he was an escape artist. Unfortunately their setup was too small/not ideal, so this is the reason. If only people knew that cages advertised in our market, are not all appropriate and are targeted at kids for quick sales. So we gave him a large enough enclosure, large enough wheel and he's been very content while in our care. No issues here! Due to his previous home having kids, it appears Roman is more traumatized with handling than our other hamsters here at the rescue. He will need to be rehomed to a home with no children under thirteen. And should be with an experienced owner who will work with interactions inside his enclosure, handling and free roaming once you get there. He accepts treats from your hand with a little coaxing but will not willingly want to be picked up and will flee. However he's a gentle, fun loving soul who loves to climb and explore. He enjoys his den and keeps himself as clean as possible with that long fluffy fur of his. He'll warm up to you in due time.
