Five year old golden retriever needs new home

This is a super tough for us, however we are looking to see if we can find just the perfect home for our sweet 5-year old golden retriever. She lives indoors and is a sweetheart - she loves people and (most!) other dogs. She is a purebred golden retriever, about 70 lbs, and is healthy and spayed. She loves to go on walks and hikes, she doesn't really love to swim, and her favorite part of the day is just sitting next to 'her people' and chewing on her toys. When it comes to other dogs, she is more on the 'alpha' side and likes to be in charge -- she is fine with other dogs as long as they are willing to go along with that -- her toys are hers. For that reason, I recommend a house without young kids as the toy obsession may become an issue. Also, she will chase cats, chickens, and other small animals. We are interested in talking with folks who would be interested in adding her to their family. Please note, we are not just going to go with the first family who reaches out, but rather really consider who would be the right fit for her. We would also want to do a 'trial period' to ensure she transitions smoothly into the right family.
