Mike first established himself at New England raves and Phish shows in the 90s and early 2000s. He then built a name for himself playing, booking, and ultimately running RISE after-hours in Boston. After the club closed in 2015, he became a resident at the now-defunct Thursday weekly Make It New and also moved to Brooklyn. This new chapter in New York immersed Mike in the still-evolving origin story of dance music culture, allowing him to connect with the gorgeously diverse community he’d been missing his whole life. Regular trips to Europe have further ensured that he’s still listening, learning, and pushing every day. The result is a perspective on dance floor magic that is only getting better and broader with time.
