Description
Six months ago, I would have to have grudgingly agreed about a "red wave". But since then:
- Roe v Wade overturned, giving the issue back to the states. KS, a red state, waffle-stomped pro-life. Nationwide, women are registering as first-time voters at TWICE the rate of men.
- In Alaska, Trump-backed Sarah Palin LOST.
- Just polls, but MAGAts like Oz (Pa) and Walker (Ga) are losing.
- College loan forgiveness directly helps 40 MILLION people; they can all vote. Democrats HAVE lost the vote of billionaires who want their own rocket ships.
- Recent polling also shows that, even more than the economy, voters are concerned about preserving democracy. Normal people frown on insurrections.
In other words, I wouldn't count on a "red wave", Naperville. McConnell has conceded that the Democrats will keep the Senate. What looked like a sure thing to take the House is now pretty iffy.
And even if I'm wrong, Biden is still President, with veto power. If Republicans can cobble together a simple majority to get something stupid passed, they FER' SURE won't have the votes to override the veto.
Your turn to respond with "America-hating radical corrupt commie leftist". That's SO effective!
