Urban fiction author Amere Dozier sat down with worldauthors.org for an interview last Friday. In the interview the Indiana author broke down why he was about to go on hiatus from writing for a while, his latest publishing deal, what makes a good story and more. "A lot of the profit from my books were going back into my career and to school," Dozier explained in his interview. "I didn't realize that when you're doing something like writing you've gotta invest in yourself for a while before somebody else does." The 22-year-old explained that he was seeing scarce income due to investing back into himself and his schooling. That was going to be the cause of Dozier's time away from writing. His hard work paid off when he inked a deal with Austin Macauley in early December. It was Dozier's first deal of his career. That prevented the break the "Bandit Boyz" author was about to take.  We do not typically see Austin Macauley publish urban fiction and crime content like Dozier's. He was asked in the interview with WorldAuthors why he thinks they reached out to him. "I feel like they found a good story that could connect to a demographic they weren't really reaching." Dozier said. WorldAuthors went on to question what Dozier considered as a 'good story'. Dozier responded by saying, "a story that informs or a story that causes conversation is a good story." The "Counterfeit" author is expected to release his book under Austin Macauley sometime 2021. When asked about a date Dozier said he is unaware of a specific date of release as of right now. This will be Dozier's fifth book released in his career. He has sold thousands of books and seems excited to partner with Austin Macauley.
