Outlier Media is opening up our newsroom for a conversation about transit in Detroit for an upcoming collaborative guide we are producing with our journalism partners on transportation in the city. Join the Outlier Media team in our newsroom from 4-5p.m. on Sept. 29 at our TechTown office to talk about it.
Outlier's reporters and editors want to hear about your greatest needs and desires concerning the ease and difficulty of getting around Detroit. We want to gather information from residents to determine what we should put in a guide about how Detroiters can best use transit options in the Motor City. Explore some recent examples of Outlier Media's community guides here.
Registration is free but RSVPs are required. Attendees should enter TechTown Detroit through the front doors located off Burroughs Street. You will see a representative from Outlier Media and will be directed to our newsroom. Free parking is available at TechTown Detroit. We are also located within walking distance of the Amsterdam Street station for DDOT bus service and the QLine. Please contact [email protected] if you need assistance with transit to reach our public newsroom meeting.
Right after our meeting, you’re welcome to join the Outlier team as we hop on the QLine and head to BasBlue Detroit for the Woodward Corridor Happy Hour sponsored by QLine Detroit.
Join us for complimentary drinks and learn about how you can become part of the movement to serve Detroit residents with the information and journalism they deserve. Registration is free but space is limited, so RVSP today at this link! The happy hour following our public newsroom meeting is sponsored by QLINE Detroit.
