I want a rooster for my hens! They live in a 10x10x6 kennel, under a tree, and they are well-fed and cared for. I haven’t eaten chicken in more than forty years, but I do eat eggs. If you have a rooster - not a bantam and not a Cornish cross (meat bird) and not a silkie - who you thought was going to be a hen when you bought him at Tractor Supply, I’ve got a good home for him! He’ll get plenty of grass, pellets, watermelon, apples, leftovers from my kitchen, and he’ll have hens to keep him busy, too. I prefer egg-laying breeds who don’t have feathers on their legs or covering their eyes, but beggars can’t be too choosy.
