Advocacy project to advance paternity laws in NH

Description

Hello. I am in the beginning stages of trying to pass legislature to expand paternity & birth certificate laws. In my small family, in just 3 generations there have been 2 false fathers listed on birth certificates. Mine & my twin brothers and on one of my grandchildren's. There are a handful of states that have pending bills that offer certified certificates with DNA proof. Each state has their own "rules and regulations" but I don't believe any have passed the bills into law yet. My mother was 75 when she revealed the truth to me. My grandson's mother revealed it to him after he had been emotionally confused and hurt for many years. I have the (YouAreTheFather.org) beginnings of a national non profit organization to bring light to the laws (and to bring about change) and I am looking for others that can help me with my project which, if successful, would be a small legacy to leave behind drawing from my personal experience. Volunteers could be on an advisory board or an active member of a small group. Certainly that would also involve others that know legal advocacy, social media, grant writing, and crowd funding. I am in the process of accumulating a data base of laws in all 50 states but for now I would like to begin here in New Hampshire. If you are interested in helping, please leave a voice mail or text for me. Check the contact link for info.
