Back up childcare or respite needs?

Coming out of retirement, and offering drop in care for the ‘just in case’, before/after school care and respite care for children including weekends. Most of my experience is with children that have special needs. This includes children that use adaptive equipment such as splints, braces, and custom wheelchairs. It also includes decades of experience in the medically fragile environment, autism spectrum, and downs and William syndrome. My education includes a master’s degree in behavioral science. I have incorporated many of programs such as Applied Behavior Analysis, Errorless teaching, and the SonRise program techniques when working with children in my care. I’ve worked in both private and public systems of education for 40+ years in addition of a few years as a 911 dispatcher but enjoy the freedom I have from working at home. I am also working on publishing my first children’s book series before the years out. I offer a structured play environment. This means I do not push a Standard curriculum. My belief is that children from the ages of birth through 5 learn better through cooperative play with peers. I promote social and emotional skill sets so each child becomes successful in critical thinking when engaging with peers. Academics is presented through games and other visual clues. I am affordable, dependable and offer respite care by appointment. References available.
