Description

Hello, my husband and I are seeking to rehome Ted, our 5 year old Soft-coated Wheaten Terrier. Ted is a sweet boy. He is great around people, including children, and is very content to cuddle or lay down near you at home. He is house-trained and knows basic commands (e.g. sit, lay, paw, stay). He likes going on walks and is generally good about staying by your side and not pulling. He doesn’t chew household objects (besides his toys). Ted is about 40lbs, neutered, chipped, and up to date on vaccines. We have his breeder and medical records. He is also a non-shedding breed. A few things to keep in mind. Ted would need to be the only dog in the household. He definitely prefers being around people rather than other dogs. He becomes anxious near other dogs and may try to bark or lunge at another dog if they are within a few feet of each other. We haven’t had trouble walking him around the neighborhood, but dog parks would not be appropriate. He has displayed separation anxiety since we brought him home, which has improved since his first week here. It may take him some time and training for him to feel comfortable being alone in his new home. Ted’s previous family said that he was fine staying at home alone during the workday. We adopted him about three weeks ago, but unfortunately my husband has been diagnosed with dog allergies and we are unable to keep Ted long term. We live in Meridian. We will also include Ted’s bed, food, toys, and other items. Please message me if you are interested in meeting Ted.
