Generator Technician Contractors Needed

This opportunity is an on-call position that has the potential to be consistent work for the right contractor. Contractors will receive maintenance and refuel orders for fixed generators located at cell tower sites. When contractors receive the work orders, they will be given a deadline on when the work will need to be completed. Typically contractors will only travel a few hours at most to a site and return home the same day. If for some reason a hotel would be necessary, this is paid for by the company. This is 1099 contract work and pays $25.00/hr. All fuel is reimbursed and if a contractor works consistently, a company fuel card may be issued to them. Field Generator Technician/MaintenanceBasic Requirements:You Must be 18 or older with a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background checkHave computer literacy skills and follow verbal instructionsOwn a smartphone and be comfortable utilizing it for workHave basic PPE: hard hat, safety vest and safety boots with reinforced toeTruck and Equipment Requirements:4x4 TRUCK IS REQUIRED100-GALLON DIESEL TRANSFER TANK WITH METERING DEVICE IS REQUIREDBasic electrical tools. I.E Hex Head Wrench or T-Handle Set (up to 3/8”), Insulated Screwdriver Set, wrench set, Utility Knife w/extra blades, Black Electrical Tape (6 rolls), Lineman Cutters/Pliers, Socket set, Electrical Code Tape (Red/Blue/White/Green), Multimeter, insulated Electrical GlovesAbility to plow snow is a plus, but not required. This will get you additional work during winter months.Skilled Requirements:Work safely with electrical equipment and be able to utilize a multi-meter.Possess a level of knowledge regarding generator repair and operation.Possess reasonable diesel engine mechanic skills.Perform preventative maintenance on power generator equipment.Trouble-shoot and repair problems with generators.Complete required online work orders and any required paperwork in a timely manner.Communicate with Management.Responsible for purchasing and keeping an inventory of company reimbursed supplies, if necessary.Responsible for tracking time, fuel, supplies and any other expense receipts for reimbursement.Responsible for submitting all required receipts to Management each work day.Compensation Details:Contractors are paid an hourly rate of $25.00/hr.Some equipment may qualify to be billed when used and is paid out to the owner for each day of use (I.E.
