Description
WHEATON, IL — If winter's snow and freezing temps make people look forward to anything, it's ice skating and sledding.
Ice skating is currently prohibited on ponds in the Wheaton Park District, but residents can still cut the ice at the rinks at Central Athletic Complex, 500 S. Naperville Rd.
Temperatures must be consistently below 40 degrees Fahrenheit for the outdoor rink at Central Athletic Complex to be open. Due to coronavirus, advance registration is required to skate at Central Athletic Complex.
Sledding is available at Northside Park, 1300 N. West St., when weather permits. Click the link to check on sledding conditions at Northside Park.
