Another variant afflicted US before COVID-19 Long before COVID-19 and all its variants became part of our daily lives, the Donald Trump Variant [DVT] struck. It wasn’t a silent killer, like COVID-19. It was a virulent and bombastic assault on our senses. By the second half of 2016, nearly half of the voting public had succumbed to its curse. We then had to endure 4 years of living hell in which the country circled the drain and was nearly swallowed up in despair. Luckily, we were rescued when enough of the voting public recovered from the DTV to change our path; for the better. Unfortunately, the DTV is lingering around the country. Not as infectious as it was originally, but still dangerous to the health of the country. Personally, I feel that most of the country has recovered so that by 2024, we can put the Donald Trump Variant in the rearview mirror – FOREVER!
