Aroma Latin Fusion and Executive Chefs Jean Paul and Antonio Poggi are delighted to Welcome you to another Stunning Night with our special selection of Wines from VINA OTANO Winery, from the RIOJA REGION, hosted by Oenologist ERVIGIO ADAN (Export Manager), who will shared with us its History, his knowledge and anecdotes. Chefs had selected a variety of exclusive dishes that will paired superbly with the Wine selection. Music in the background, Wines and Food will make this evening like no other in our House. VINA OTANO comes from a family winery, whose beginnings go back to 1886 when “Grandfather Don Román Montaña” began to engage in the production and aging of wines, becoming the founder of a series of master craftsmen in wines. The current generation of grandchildren continue this work with great success. The winery is located in Fuenmayor – La Rioja, in the sub-zone of Rioja Alta, a town which is historically known for the high quality and capacity of its wine to age well. Tickets are $95 per person, include all wines, dinner and the music. Applicable taxes and gratuity are not included in this price. WINES SELECTED, Tasting Notes (Notas de Cata) Vina Otano Viura 2020 Aromas of pineapple and passion fruit prepare the palate for flavors of Granny Smith apple, white peach and toasted nuts with a touch of eucalyptus in the finish. M.D. – June/July 2022 BEST BUY Vina Otano Barrel Fermented 2018 2018 version comes in at a svelte 12.5 percent alcohol and offers up a lovely young nose of lemon, tart pear, a lovely base of white soil tones, raw almond and a discreet framing of vanillin oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and crisp, with a good core of fruit, fine soil undertow, good framing acids and a long, well-balanced finish. This is a good bottle that is tasty today Vina Otano Blanco Gran Reserva 2015 The wine is starting to show a gentle golden hue to its color and offers up a beautiful, classical bouquet of fresh almond, pear, orange peel, salty white soil tones and coconutty oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and still fairly youthful in its structural elements, with a fine girdle of acidity, lovely focus and balance and a long, complex and really very good finish. Vina Otano Crianza 2018 It delivers a ripe and youthful nose of black raspberries, cigar wrapper, Rioja spice tones, a bit of meatiness, a good base of soil and cedary oak. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, ripe and nicely sappy at the core, with good soil signature, moderate tannins and a long, tangy and gently warm finish. Vina Otano Reserva 2015 offers ripe, fresh fruit flavors of black cherry and plum, in a plump texture kept balanced by firm tannins and lively acidity. Harmonious, still youthful. Vina Otano Gran Reserva 2015 Vivid ruby. A highly perfumed bouquet evokes spice-accented red and dark berries, cherry preserves, vanilla, pungent flowers and pipe tobacco. Seamless and lively on the palate, offering vibrant black raspberry, bitter cherry and mocha flavors braced by a core of juicy acidity. Displays impressive finishing energy, discreet tannins and a lingering spicecake note. Vina Otano Graciano Gran Reserva 2009 (Magnums) The bouquet is deep, complex and quite refined, offering up a lovely blend of ripe cherries, red plums, cigar smoke, clove-like spice tones, a salty base of soil, a bit of celery seed, spiced meats and a deft framing of cedary oak. On the palate the wine is bright, full-bodied, focused and complex, with an excellent core of fruit, fine-grained tannins and lovely length and grip on the very nicely balanced finish. There is still a bit of backend tannin here, Vina Otano Garnacha Rose 2021 Bright and sprightly, with juicy flavors of raspberry and strawberry,
