We are thrilled to be partnering with the Norfolk State University once again to bring our Hampton Roads community the Afrobeats FEST 757!
Here is how the weekend will run:
Boston based 'One Leg' singer and 2022 Ghana Entertainment Awards Entertainer of the Year Jay Hover will be returning to add his vivacious flavor to the festivities, including a Master Class for aspiring singers, on Friday November 11, 7-8:30 pm. $20Internationally renowned Afrobeats Dance Instructor Akosua Akoto will return to charm our participants in an Afrobeats Dance Workshop on Friday November 11, 6:30-8:30 pm, accompanied by Cameroon born Henry LeSheriff. $35Youth and adult teams will compete for over $3000 worth in cultural scholarship prizes in our Dance Off Competition on Saturday, November 12: 2:30-4:30 pm. Demola the Violinist will be making a guest appearance, and the top 3 teams will dance for one of his songs' videos immediately following the competition. $29 The festival ends with a ()West African Dinner Concert on Saturday November 12, 6:30-9 pm featuring Demola the Violinist and Jay Hover. $39Purchase 1 ticket per event, à la carte, or buy multiples and save.
