San Juan River Plein Air Oil Pastels Class

Description

You're invited to create your own plein air masterpiece on the banks of the San Juan River with instructor Russell Kahn. Participants will meet at the Recapture Lodge picnic area and take a short half-mile hike to the river. Russell will guide you through composing a landscape and layering oil pastels to create a treasured piece of art to take home. This class is open to all artists of all abilities, new and experienced.  All materials will be provided. We recommend this class for ages 14+. Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes, bring water, sunscreen and/or bug spray. Participants may also wish to bring a camp chair. You can find Russell's work on his Instagram @ruskahn
