Bios of our Speakers: Senior Advisor, General James M. Holmes Gen. Holmes is a Senior Advisor for The Roosevelt Group. He served in the Office of the Secretary of Defense and on headquarters staff(s) of the United States Air Force, U.S. European Command and Pacific Air Forces. Prior to his current position, he served as the Deputy Chief of Staff for Strategic Plans and Requirements, U.S. Air Force. He entered the Air Force through Officer Training School in 1981 after receiving a degree in electrical engineering from the University of Tennessee. Dave Harden David B. Harden is currently CEO & Founder for THE OUTPOST and OUTPOST VENTURES, a multi-million- dollar business and fund with a new innovation approach to venture capital, business development, technology acceleration, and national security investment. Previously, Dave was COO and Founding Architect for AFWERX, the Air Force’s enterprise approach to innovation that builds a community to maximize interactions with innovators, academia, businesses, and airmen. He was also Chief of Strategic Prioritization at the PENTAGON, building and executing a strategic prioritization framework for the Air Force to create better decision-making information for its 30-year, multi-trillion-dollar strategic plan. Dave also piloted the $225 million, technologically advanced C-17. He has developed U.S. Presidential statements on policy to the United Nations and NATO, served at the Pentagon, appeared on CNN, and was selected as an International Who's Who For Public Service in 2002.
