Description

Spend the day at The Larch Collective farm in Plainfield, VT, where we will practice gentle and restorative yoga, eat a delicious lunch, take a few moments in the sauna, or walk the nature trails on the property. Space will be limited, so be sure to register early! Registration closes Thursday, October 13th. Fat babes of all genders are welcome. Ease into the season with Fat Babe Vermont's Autumn Yoga Reset Retreat. All levels of experience are invited to join us by the campfire while focusing on connection, self-love, and embracing the coziest time of year. The 80-acre property hosting us has a flower field, sauna, 150-gallon cold plunge, and a babbling brook that attendees are free to explore. Yoga will be taught by Amy Mincher and Kierstin Wall, who both specialize in accessible yoga. Amy will offer a gentle flow in the morning, and Kierstin will teach a restorative yoga class in the afternoon. We encourage you to bring comfortable clothes for yoga, and sauna-wear/swimsuit if you plan to use the sauna along with any yoga props that you like to practice with. The event will be outdoors, weather-permitting, but there is indoor space, should we need it. The included lunch will be a soup to warm the soul, rolls, salad, and mulled cider. All dietary needs can be accommodated with notice at registration. Cost: To make this event more accessible we ask that those who can pay $125, please do. We also offer a sliding scale option (https://www.iamyasminmarrero.com/slidingscale) for those who need a lower cost to attend. Be aware that if you choose the lower costs when in fact you can afford the higher ticket, you are limiting access to those who truly need the financial flexibility. Consider paying lower on the scale if you: are a single parent or are the only source of income in your homehave significant debt that takes a considerable amount of your incomereceive any form of public assistancehave immigration-related expensesare an elder with limited financial resourcesare a returning citizen who has been denied work due to incarceration history or disabilityare a teacher in a public school systemare a studenthave student loans you pay monthlyare supporting children, family, or other dependentsConsider paying higher on the scale if you: own the home you live inown propertyhave investments, retirement accounts, or inherited moneytravel for leisure or recreationallyhave multiple sources of income by choicehave a relatively high degree of earning power due to your level of education, assigned gender, racial privilege, class background, and the like.
