Hi friends! 😄
Welcome to DFW Young & Social, a growing community for people ages 25-40 who want to try out new activities while building connections!
Are you ready to sample some Bachata?
Bachata is a romantic, popular, beginner-friendly dance, with a slower tempo than Salsa. If you've never done it before, don't worry—I'll show you the ropes from the ground up. If you *have* done it before, I always layer in technique as I teach, so you'll have plenty to focus on.
You don't need to bring a partner! :) We rotate, so everyone gets a chance to dance and meet everyone else.
What to Wear:
Clothing:
There's no formal dress code, but wear something you feel comfortable moving in! Women often wear blouses and jeans, or dresses (if the skirt flares, or is extra short, I recommend shorts underneath!) Men often wear t-shirts and jeans, or button-downs and slacks. Dress up if you like, no pressure if you don't!
Shoes:
Smooth-soled shoes are best. Comfortable dress shoes often work well for men, but something like keds is a pretty good option. Women often wear heels; however, unless it has an ankle strap, I wouldn't recommend it. Avoid: Anything with heavy tread, flip flops, sandals, stilettos, slingbacks, and platforms.
We can't wait to meet you!
