The goal of the free Kids Fall Harvest Festival is to build trust, connection and creativity within our community. All Long Beach residents are welcome, especially those with children residing in the Nehyam neighborhood (North Long Beach), to safely and joyfully celebrate the start of the fall season. The festival will include activity booths geared towards 3-10 year olds, including DIY crafts, games, educational displays, story time, and pumpkin derby races and more! Scheduled mini-workshops will also take place throughout the afternoon such as DIY seasonal spiced play dough, create a fairy garden, fall leaf stamping, and more! We will have a parent acknowledgement and release form for parents/guardians to sign before entering the festival. From 10am-10:30am is the monthly first Saturday Crop Swap so it will kick off our event with the community gathering to exchange and share their produce grown in their own home gardens! We are striving to make this a zero waste event, so feel free to bring your own trash-free picnic lunch and reusable water bottle(we will have a refill station available with water). Some free snacks will be available. *Note: There is a live bee farm fenced in its' own space on the Firehouse Farm property, and all parent/guardians will need to sign an acknowledgement and release form upon entering the premises.
