One of Nation Ford Land Trust's conservation easements, Clover Rock Outcrop, is in need of a cleanup where various kinds of trash will be collected and later disposed of.
The cleanup will begin at 9:00 AM and will last until noon on October 8th, Saturday. Steve Fields from the York County Museum will present information about the conservation easement before the cleanup begins. Volunteers will be sectioned into three main groups with NFLT zone leaders to clean specific areas of the land. Volunteers are welcome to come whenever they can to help out. NFLT staff will direct cars on where to park in the gravel lot. Cleaning equipment will be provided but feel free to bring your own, especially gardening gloves. We recommend thick ones for safety! Full trash bags should be brought to the gravel lot and loaded onto a designated NFLT truck for disposal. Water and snacks will be available as well.
Safety Guidelines:
Please stay with your zone leader for proper instructions and as your guide through the property.Different kinds of trash will be present on the property, so protective gloves and closed-toed shoes are recommended. Even with protection, exercise caution with piles of assorted trash! There is little to no shade on site, so please apply sunscreen and/or wear a hat to protect against sun exposure.Water will be provided, but please bring your own water if you can.No bathrooms will be available on site
