Missouri Wing Honor Guard Academy is up to you. We are seeing how many cadets are interested in coming before we plan all of it out. A decision on if we will have an HGA will be made 3 weeks from this posting. This event would consist of 3 weekends the first would be learning principles and foundations, plus Color guard. The second weekend would be learning and performing Honor guard with some principles of understanding for it. On the final weekend which would include graduation you, and the rest of the 3rd time participating cadets would practice and perform a drill team ceremony for the other cadets and parents would be of course welcome to come. Some common questions if Missouri Wing hosted this event: Is it costly - no we are trying to make it as affordable as possible. It would be roughly $40-64, depending on if we can get kitchen staff. If we get kitchen staff it is cheaper for all cadets. What criteria are there for me to attend the event - a full blues uniform and be at least a C/SrA as this will be a lot of drilling and we move fast so you must know your drill before coming cause we would be adding a lot to it. Also, you need to be able to hold a rifle for long periods of time. So being in shape is key. We would have PT both days and I would recommend being in shape before coming. Cadet staffing - there would be a cadet staff selection process. If you want to have an HGA, share it with everyone and get excited. The dates we are looking to start are in March and do one weekend every month to start for 3 months through May. If we get enough people another Eventbrite post will come out for actual sign-ups, with further information to follow.
