AKC Mini American Eskimo Male Rehome

Description

Max is a purebred neutered "Eskie" with a champion pedigree. He will be three in November. I am sad to have to re-home him, but he and my older Eskie are not compatible. I have had Max since he was a pup and it was OK at first, but no more. Max is beautiful, healthy, and has had all necessary vaccinations and vet visits. He is of medium energy, affectionate, and likes his toys. He is mostly potty trained, though he has an occasional accident at night. He knows some commands like Sit, Off, Wait, Come, etc., but he definitely needs more training. He has a rather skittish personality so is wary of situations or people if he is not familiar with them. As all Eskies are, he is a good guard dog and will bark at strangers. Sometimes it is hard to get him to stop barking, but he stops once he's reassured everything is OK. He has never bitten anyone. I think Max needs to be the only dog in your home, although he has never been without my older dog. If you are experienced with this breed and are willing to work with him, he will likely be fine with other dogs. I am just not experienced enough to train him properly, and at 70, with some health issues, I can no longer handle two dogs. I am looking to re-home him with someone who can reassure me he will be cared for properly and given a great life. He deserves that, as does every dog. Rehoming fee is $400. Please text me if seriously interested.
