November 8th is just a few short weeks away! Learn what LWVMD is going to Get Out The Vote. Meet fellow members and our Board, hear about our volunteering opportunities, and find out other ways for you to get involved! This event is open to all so if you're a member, thinking of becoming a member, or just interested in the upcoming election register today. We're honored to have Deborah Dietz, Executive Director, Disability Independence Group, Inc. as our keynote speaker. Deborah Dietz is the Executive Director and one of the founding members of Disability Independence Group, Inc. Ms. Dietz has a bachelor’s degree in Science Education from Boston University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from Florida International University.Ms. Dietz is a dynamic and strategic leader who works to support opportunities for participation, education, employment and acceptance of persons with disabilities through advocacy, education and training. She participates in a number of local, state, and national organizations on issues related to voting rights, domestic violence and sexual assault, independent living, and civic engagement.Ms. Dietz was awarded The League of Women Voters of Miami-Dade County Women Who Shine Award in 2019.
