Guitarist/singer looking to form what I'll call a "practice band". What I'm looking for: Musicians (bass, drums, keys, guitar) who are motivated to learn songs and play together. It's all about playing with others for the sake of learning/enjoying/supporting each other. Make music, make mistakes, experiment and grow as musicians. No plans to create a permanent band, no plans to find gigs. I'm looking for people who are willing to commit to learning 10 or so songs ahead of time and then get together to play. We'll create a "set list" based on everyone's input, take a couple of weeks to get prepared and then meet to play and see how it goes. Generally, I'm a fan of classic rock and metal, but I'm open to a lot of styles and hope others will be too. Recently, I've been playing and singing Warren Zevon, Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young, Pink Floyd. For heavier, guitar-centric music, I love Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Dio, Metallica, etc. But, I'm wide open to ideas. There's almost never a song I didn't appreciate once I took the time to learn it. If interested, contact me with a few songs that would be on your "set list" and what instrument(s) you play.
