Handyman part time: $16/hour I have a maintenance man for my rental houses, but he occasionally needs help for a two-man job. He is getting older and can’t do some of the physical things like crawling under a house or getting up on a ladder to clean a gutter. I also sometimes need a man for work around my house and don’t want to take the regular man off what he’s doing. The hours may not exceed 10 or 20 a week for now. It could grow into taking over his job when he retires (he’s 62). Applicant must live in Murfreesboro, at least close enough to have a Murfreesboro address. Must have own transportation, preferably a pickup truck. Some basic tools is a plus, but uncommon tools such as chainsaw, leaf blower, etc. will be provided. Work will be done as an independent contractor. No set hours, just when you and maintenance man can coordinate two-man jobs or when you are available to help with yard work and such at my house. It’s not enough for a sole income. It needs to be someone that is fairly flexible with their time and doesn’t want or need a 40-hour a week job. Note: I do not pay “under the table” so you can avoid paying taxes. I have never cheated on the government and, at 78, I’m not going to start now.
