Hello! Trio rock cover band looking for a new bassist who can sing lead. Female is ideal but won’t discriminate if you’re a fit! Our bassist of 14 years recently had to leave the band due to unavoidable life circumstances. We’re two good dudes (drummer and lead guitarist) that like to have fun, chill vibe, talk about music and jam. We’re close friends and looking to add someone to the mix! The good news is we are open to renaming the band and starting over with someone else. Here are some quick details so you know if it will work for you: • We’re in our mid to late 40’s (one of us might be 50 😊 ), but we act like we’re 30 (in a good way). • We have careers and are financially stable. Looking for the same. • We do this for fun, but we do have paying gigs occasionally. We are open to gig about once a month or so. • Did I mention we do this for fun? If you’re looking to make it big or need steady income from a band, we are not for you. If you want to have fun, jam every week, have some cocktails and gig sometimes, we’re the right band for you! • We have our own permanent rehearsal space (with a bar)! Yes, it’s pretty cool. • We are open to new music. Historically we’ve played anything from Pink Floyd, to 90’s grunge to modern alternative rock. Bands like Muse, Royal Blood, The Cure, White Stripes, Filter, Daft Punk, Rush, Jane’s Addiction, Gary Clark Jr, Black Keys, The Church and many more. We know hundreds of songs and are always wanting to learn new songs. • We play covers mostly, but open to doing some originals here and there too. • We are not a pro band. That said, we’ve been playing a long time and are pretty decent. • We have a good sound system. Powered speakers, wireless app-driven mixing board, in-ear wireless monitors and wedge monitors (for when we don’t want to mess w in-ear). • We have a standing jam/practice every Thursday. We meet up in Ybor around 5pm (or whenever we can all make it), grab some grub/cocktails then head to the space to jam for a couple/few hours. That’s it! Then we gig occasionally when we feel like we want to get out and stretch the legs! If you’re interested, can play bass well and sing (lead), please text me directly.
