Pro 80s Hard Rock Band looking for pro drummer for covers (Tampa Bay - Clearwater - Pinellas) 1980s hard rock cover band looking for experienced drummer who shares our passion for this era of music and wants to be part of a very successful long-term band. We aren't looking for guys who play in several different bands or guys who are band hoppers, chasing $100 a night gigs. Must be totally into and have experience playing this type of cover band music; Van Halen Ratt Whitesnake Dokken Def Leppard Scorpions White Lion UFO Etc etc This is a professional level band and we are all committed to this one band and so we are taking our time to get the right person who shares our vision. Our definition of professional is reasonable and is as follows: 1. Shows up to rehearsal on time and prepared to play the songs like the record. Rehearsal is NOT the place to learn the song because we all are pay by the hour to rehearse in a clean environment. Must have reliable transportation. 2. Has professional gear and conducts themselves as a professional on stage. 3. Must have professional level chops (the ability to play the songs like the record.) 4. Doesn't drink alcohol or does drugs during rehearsals or at gigs. (A couple beers is NOT a problem as long as it doesn't affect your playing) 5. Must have experience playing Hard Rock, Hair metal or old school metal. 6. Preferably played in an A circuit hair or metal band back in the 80s. 7. Must love this era of music. 8. Be over the age of 40 or look it. We are all in our 50s so it isn't going to look right on stage with a person who is 20-40. No disrespect intended. There are tons of fantastic younger and older musicians in this world but we are looking for the one person who shares our vision and meets these requirements. 9. Must be able to learn songs quickly and take direction with no ego. Hard work and serious musicianship will be required. Expected to be able to play cover songs like the record. We all do our homework before rehearsal. 10. Be available and able to rehearse in Clearwater once a week after 7:00 pm and pay $15 each week to play in a decent air-conditioned studio. Backup vocals helpful but NOT necessary. We have 40 songs and learning more... Serious professionals only please. We want to start playing out within 30 days or so after finding the last piece of our puzzle. If you are currently in a working band and are looking to make a change then we offer all respondents total confidentiality. Yes, we have contacts with local bars and getting gigs will NOT be a problem for this band. We own full PA and some lights.
