Description
My philosophy is "Everything I ever needed to know about business I learned on the sports field." From Behind The Scoreboard, I feature the sports stories that tell us much more than simply who won or lost. These personal and inspiring experiences of grade school, high school, college, other amateur and even pro athletes allow all of us to reflect a little more on what is important in life. ~ James C. Finding His Path To Happiness
Despite a significant challenge at the start of his life, Paul Asaro was attracted to sports as a child. He found success in youth soccer and track in Westchester County, and more recently with gold and silver medals at the Special Olympics.
Paul never allowed his disability to prevent him from enjoying life. Besides sports, he cherishes community service. He is a volunteer firefighter and he is involved with his church. He has been an inspiration for decades to the adults and children at his church and in his community.
Paul has met his many challenges with a personal philosophy: “There is always a path that makes us happy.” That's a road we all wish to travel, and when we find it we shouldn't forget to enjoy the journey.
